(Leviticus-B, a Dead Sea Scroll)

Growing up, I read, memorized, and studied out of the KJV. Even after years of reading it,I had to reread whatever I read to fully understand what is being presented. Only then do I start to reread for the sake of digging deeper. On the other hand, when I read out of the NASB, I understand the first time what was meant to be said, and I can start rereading for the sake of researching- instead of for comprehension.

Here at Clearwater Christian College (CCC), I've learned a lot about the KJV Controversy. Here in town, we had Dr. James White, author of The KJV Controversy hold a seminar on the origins of the Bible supporting the texts other than the TR. Just as Pensacola Christian College (PCC) focuses on hailing KJV onlyism, CCC's professors have quite a lot to say about the different translations.

When you look at the KJV only people, they cry superiority because of the Textus Receptus (Recieved Text) being an old and faithful text arranged from manuscripts found in a reliable region. People who hold to the other versions like the New International Version (NIV) and the New American Standard Bible (NASB) defend their texts (Critical Texts) with the fact that they are from much older manuscripts and from a greater amount of manuscripts from a variety of regions.
